Women’s Suffrage Leader

Susan B. Anthony was an early leader of the women’s suffrage movement and a pioneer in the struggle to gain equality for women. She was a determined woman who was willing to do anything for her voice to be heard. During her lifetime, she would protest and even be arrested for fighting for the voting rights of women. Women can be inspired from Susan B. Anthony that they should stand up for what they believe in, no matter what the consequences are. Because of her and many others, women’s rights have progressed increasingly from the 1800’s to now. As Susan B. Anthony once said,

“It was we, the people; not we, the white male citizens; nor yet we, the male citizens; but we, the whole people, who formed the Union.”
